Tech Square Goes Toe to Toe in FIFA Tournament
For six hours on the last Saturday in August, AXR Edge hosted a FIFA '22 1v1me Tournament at Tech Square ATL (TSQATL) Social Club’s 9,000 square foot venue, The Clubhouse, for an afternoon of gaming, competition, prizes, and more.
Over 40 participants joined the Clubhouse Cup to enter into a head-to-head bracket-style challenge, each vying for the chance to be named victor. With each round of eliminations, the competition grew more fierce and then stakes became higher. Meanwhile, spectators cheered on their peers while enjoying complimentary lunch from Chick-fil-A, adult beverages, and networking with other like-minded individuals.
Additionally, we asked attendees two different questions relating to the event’s theme:
No surprise here, given this particular community, that both playing video games and PlayStation were the top responses. As the tournament wrapped up, guests stay around to congratulate the winner while the raffle was announced. And even though not everyone walked away with a prize in hand, all attendees were winners in our eyes. After all, as the great Wayne Gretzky once said, “You miss 100 percent of the shots you don’t take” – and we’re proud of everyone’s participation that day.
