ATLANTA, September 23 (Hypepotamus) - Engage, the corporate venture platform bringing together startups and large enterprises in Atlanta, has announced its 17th cohort. The companies selected come from across the US and Mexico…and the Engage team says they showcase that corporations are looking for more AI and security solutions being built right now by startup founders.

As Cohort 17 kicks off, we asked the Engage team what the selected companies tell us about what enterprise companies are prioritizing.
Akshita Iyer, Engage’s corporate insights lead, told Hypepotamus that companies are looking to move beyond the AI hype cycle. “Cohort 17 has made it clear that corporations have moved past AI as a feature and into AI as infrastructure, and they're looking for solutions that learn how a business actually works. At the same time, they're just as focused on the risk side of this shift. Protecting themselves against AI-powered threats is becoming just as urgent as adopting AI-powered tools. Our corporate partners aren't chasing hype but rather solving specific, high-stakes operational problems, and it's exciting that so much of that innovation is happening right here in the Southeast,” she added.
