HackGT 2016 Attracts Over 1,000 Student Hackers
This fall, HackGT hosted the third official Georgia Tech hackathon, welcoming over 1,000 student hackers to descend upon campus for 34 hours to make amazing hacks for awesome prizes.

MARTA Partners with Tech Community for Yearlong Improvement Initiative
Do you love Atlanta? Want to help make MARTA better? The MARTA Hackathon series is a yearlong strategic technology initiative led by MARTA, Sandbox ATL, Code for Atlanta, HackGT, and other community groups to help create the next great thing in Atlanta transit. It kicks off October 28-29 in Tech Square with a 24-hour hackathon to create new ideas to increase ridership and improve the rider experience.

Culture, credibility, and connection were just a few of the deciding factors when CEO Louise Wasalewski selected Tech Square for her company’s headquarters.

The Secretary of Energy Visits Tech Square
U.S. Secretary of Energy Dr. Ernest Moniz was the third Presidential Cabinet member to tour Tech Square this year and spent time at the Southern Company Energy Innovation Center, met startups like Emrgy, and saw firsthand what makes Tech Square the heart of Atlanta's tech scene.
