EngeniusMicro is an ATDC company which uses micro- and nano-scale sensors to collect data to ensure the safety and reliability of chemical tank storage in industrial parks. Chris Heaton says being part of the Tech Square ecosystem is invaluable because of the knowledge shared among engineers, startup catalysts, and entrepreneurs. 

The AT&T Foundry is one of six foundries across the nation that search for technologies which enhance or refine existing AT&T products. The Atlanta Foundry focuses on innovations for access, home, and cars.  AT&T chose to locate in Tech Square because they’re looking for the very best talent to bring innovation to life. 

This fall, HackGT hosted the third official Georgia Tech hackathon, welcoming over 1,000 student hackers to descend upon campus for 34 hours to make amazing hacks for awesome prizes.

Do you love Atlanta? Want to help make MARTA better? The MARTA Hackathon series is a yearlong strategic technology initiative led by MARTA, Sandbox ATL, Code for Atlanta, HackGT, and other community groups to help create the next great thing in Atlanta transit. It kicks off October 28-29 in Tech Square with a 24-hour hackathon to create new ideas to increase ridership and improve the rider experience.

ATDC company Acivilate seeks to improve the way the criminal justice system works, with aims to reduce recidivism rates by better managing privacy rules. Culture, credibility, and connection were just a few of the deciding factors when CEO Louise Wasalewski selected Tech Square for her company’s headquarters.

The Tech Square Intern Academy was like a jet pack strapped to an internship. Students got to have fun with other interns, meet leaders from a variety of Atlanta companies, and explore different corners of Tech Square and the greater Atlanta community - all while becoming a better person.

U.S. Secretary of Energy Dr. Ernest Moniz was the third Presidential Cabinet member to tour Tech Square this year and spent time at the Southern Company Energy Innovation Center, met startups like Emrgy, and saw firsthand what makes Tech Square the heart of Atlanta's tech scene. 

More than 880 registered to attend the 2016 ATDC Startup Showcase on May 12 — breaking the attendance record set the previous year. And made for a fun after party.
