National Robotics Week (RoboWeek) aims to “inspire students in robotics and STEM-related fields and to share the excitement of robotics with audiences of all ages.” And since many of our researchers, scientists, professors, and students at the Technology Square Research Building (TSRB) are involved in the industry, we wanted to celebrate the occasion with some cookies – and questions. 

April marked not only the start of a new season, but also National Volunteer Month! And despite the influx of pollen – much to our dismay – we at Tech Square ATL (TSQATL) are always in full spring, ready to team up with a great organization and help save the lives of other local community members!

It’s no surprise blockchain technology, cryptocurrency, and non-fungible tokens (NFTS) are consistently hot topics here at Tech Square ATL (TSQATL). From discussing recent economic impacts to meeting entrepreneurs in the biz, several of our events are centered around this fascinating world. And with March 17 being St. Patrick’s Day, we thought it was a perfect time to celebrate the holiday while simultaneously uncovering how our community invests their “gold.”

As pollen counts were at an all-time high, a small group of professionals gathered over complimentary lunch at The Clubhouse to discuss how to keep carbon emissions low.

At Tech Square ATL (TSQATL), we’ll pretty much use any reason to host a themed event, but honoring Pi Day warranted no excuses necessary, as our community of innovators, entrepreneurs, technologists, and researchers are the perfect audience for such a celebration.

No strangers to the Web3 community, three pioneering organizations joined together one Friday evening to host an informational networking event. 

Forces were joined when student groups Startup Exchange (SX), Georgia Tech Creatives, and the Sports Business Club at Georgia Tech – each representing entrepreneurship, creative content creation, and sports business, respectively – teamed up to host an evening led by Dan Porter, Founder and CEO of Overtime, a sports media company worth over $500 million.

Two of Georgia Tech’s startup-focused organizations, Startup Exchange and CREATE-X, collaborated to host an evening around entrepreneurship with a panel of experts, networking, and complimentary food and beverages.

With such a pioneering and progressive innovation ecosystem as Tech Square, it’s no wonder that Georgia Tech’s student group, Startup Exchange, hosted an afternoon of networking with none other than Contrary, one of Atlanta’s leading venture firms, at The Clubhouse. 

Once again, student-run organization TEDxGeorgiaTech (TEDxGT) took the stage at The Clubhouse by hosting their recurring semester event, Open Mic Night. And as their venue and technology partner, we at Tech Square ATL (TSQATL) Social Club helped execute the evening that showcased the myriad of talents amongst students, members, and guests!

The second of February not only celebrated Groundhog Day, nationally, but also commemorated the annual kickoff of our student partner, Startup Exchange, locally in Tech Square!

We kicked off February in full-force with an artificial intelligence (AI)-inspired activation right in the lobby of Centergy during lunchtime.

As a community filled with entrepreneurs, innovators, and researchers, stress can often be associated with such career paths. As a way to help negate this detrimental response – and edify productivity – we sought to arm our members with beneficial techniques via our Recess: Journaling Workshop. 

In honor of welcoming the new year and the first week back to school, we hosted a Pop-Up at the Technology Square Research Building (TSRB) centered around our members’ focus for the new year and the tools they would need in order to succeed.
