Coffee Connect Anchors Tuesday Mornings at the Biltmore

Every Tuesday morning from 9:30 to 10:30 AM, the lobby of the Biltmore Innovation Center fills with conversation.

Coffee Connect, the Center’s weekly networking and social hour, has quickly become a standing fixture in the building’s rhythm. Fresh coffee, fruit, pastries, and breakfast items line the tables. Tenants stop by before meetings. Founders, Georgia Tech leaders, architects, marketers, city planners, technologists, researchers, and more gather in a space designed not just for offices, but for exchange.

“One-off events can spark energy, solidify thought-leadership, and create memories, but they don’t build ecosystems,” says Julie Pierre, the Biltmore Innovation Center’s relationship manager. “People don’t gather because you host something once. They gather because you host it again.”

What began as a simple idea, to open the lobby and offer a reason to pause, has evolved into something more intentional. Coffee Connect creates a consistent touchpoint inviting people to meet their work neighbors and discover who works two floors above or across the street.

Each week, new introductions unfold organically and compound over time. A startup founder meets a potential collaborator. A student connects with a company hiring interns. A researcher finds a commercialization partner. Even small exchanges, from shared advice to aligned interests and practical resources, add up. Together, these interactions strengthen the connective tissue between innovators across Tech Square.

More than a networking event, Coffee Connect adds energy to the building. And it’s not just caffeine. Conversations spill from high-top tables to lounge seating. Business cards change hands. Laughter carries across the marble floor. By mid-morning, the tone for the day is set.

The growing traction signals something important. When a space creates reliable opportunities for interaction, it begins to shape culture. Coffee Connect demonstrates that small, recurring moments can activate a building in meaningful ways.

For those working in or around Tech Square, the invitation remains open.
