Georgia Tech Hosts Its First AI Career Fair
On November 17, 2025, Georgia Tech hosted its first AI Career Fair. Throughout the inaugural event, the Georgia Tech Exhibition Hall was a hive of activity as over 500 students, interested in artificial intelligence (AI)-related career opportunities, engaged with nearly 30 employers to explore career paths, gain industry insights, and build professional networks.
Students were provided with direct opportunities to share their interests with companies in attendance who are actively seeking AI talent. Additionally, students gained first-hand insights into how AI is being used in the workplace, for example, with machine learning and business services. “This is an amazing event to have these opportunities to meet these employers in person. I have always gotten interviews from meeting people in person,” said a Georgia Tech student and computer science major.
The AI Career Fair was open to all undergraduate, graduate, and professional students interested in creating or using AI as a tool in their careers, including students studying computer science, data science, engineering, and beyond. Sherri von Behren, Corporate Engagement Manager with The Scheller College of Business, shared, “It’s great to see our MBA students here too!” Additionally, a Georgia Tech Evening MBA student said, “This has been a positive experience. I came prepared to talk with these employers. It is a good mix of companies, both large and small.”
The 28 attending companies, which are integrating AI into their work, represented a variety of sectors, from supply chain to security. These included BlackRock, Cisco Systems, Deposco, Geotab, Google, Halco Lighting Technologies, IBM, Lennar, Lumen Technologies, ScottMadden, Inc., and Waystar.
Students Connected with Startup Opportunities
Startups attending the Georgia Tech AI Career Fair included Airia, Beep, Tractian, and Evident, a member of the Atlanta Technology Development Center (ATDC) focused on cybersecurity. Evident co-founder and Georgia Tech alum, Nathan Rowe, said, “The event was successful! We’ve already kicked off conversations with two candidates for some project-based work over winter break and are eager to start discussing summer internship opportunities”.
To support both students and startups, Georgia Tech’s Office of Commercialization recently launched a pilot program to help students and startups share talent and experience with paid internships, which is an impactful way to help both students get a foot in the door and provide support to startups that might not yet have the funding available to provide paid internships.
“Half of the students are start-up founders, working and going to school at the same time,” said Ana Rose (Collins), Senior Data Analyst with participating company Deposco. Ana added that she “understands what [students] are going through” as she is also in the Georgia Tech Master of Computer Science program with some of the students who attended today.

Georgia Tech is Committed to Cultivating Excellence in AI
The Georgia Tech Career Center and Tech AI, the AI Hub at Georgia Tech, co-hosted the inaugural AI Career Fair. “The partnership between Tech AI and the Career Center has produced a successful event, I am happy we teamed up together and we look forward to doing it again in the future. It benefits Georgia Tech students during a tough market right now,” says Stephen Rosner, Assistant Director of Business Operations at Tech AI.
Employers acknowledged the value of the event and the AI talent that Georgia Tech is developing. “[Georgia Tech] has so many impressive students! If we could accept every student, we would. They come prepared with their resumes and elevator pitch ready,” said Madissen Lombardo, IBM Americas z Software Sales Leader.
Tim Brown, Director of Professional Education for Tech AI, worked directly with students at the AI Career Fair to review resumes and discuss their professional careers. At the event, Tim shared with Fox 5 News how Georgia Tech is supporting both students and professionals in adapting and building AI skills, such as machine learning and generative AI, through online degree programs and professional education.
